What cannot be cooked in air fryer?

High-Moisture Foods

Avoid air frying foods with high water content, such as whole fruits and large cuts of vegetables, as the intense heat can dry them out rather than preserve their natural juiciness.

Battered or Dipped Foods

Foods with wet batter or a thick, liquid coating may not fare well in an air fryer. The batter might drip through the basket, and the coating may not crisp up as desired.

Foods Covered in Cheese

Melty and gooey cheese-covered dishes might not be ideal for air frying. The intense heat can cause the cheese to melt too quickly and create a mess in the air fryer.

Delicate Fish

Delicate fish fillets may not hold up well in the air fryer due to their tenderness. They can easily break apart during the cooking process.

Raw Grains and Rice

Foods that require liquid absorption, like uncooked grains or rice, are unsuitable for air frying. The dry heat won’t provide the necessary moisture for them to cook properly.

Very Large Cuts of Meat

While air fryers are fantastic for smaller cuts and portions, extremely large cuts of meat may not cook evenly. It’s better to opt for more appropriately sized pieces for optimal results.

Remember, while air fryers are incredibly versatile, it’s essential to understand their limitations and choose cooking methods that best suit the characteristics of each specific dish.
